MRK Guides FY10 EPS In-line

Merck (MRK 34.24 -0.82) reported second earnings of $0.86 per share,
$0.03 better than the Thomson Reuters consensus of $0.83.
Revenues rose 92.3% year-over-year to $11.35 billion, slightly worse than the $11.45 billion consensus.
For its fiscal year 2010, the company issued earnings guidance of $3.29 to $3.39 per share, in-line with the $3.37 Thomson Reuters consensus. ON the top line, the company sees revenues of $45.4 billion to $46.1 billion versus the$45.69 billion Thomson Reuters consensus.
